A fost afișată lista nominalizărilor la premiile British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) din acest an. Pelicula americană “Nomadland” și filmul britanic “Rocks” sunt cele mai populare producții ale acestei ediții, fiecare primind câte șapte nominalizări.
Actrițele Bukky Bakray, din “Rocks”, şi Frances McDormand, din “Nomadland” sunt principalele nominalizate la ediţia din acest an a premiilor BAFTA.
O schimbare vizibilă față de ediția trecută, mai mult de jumătate din cei 24 de nominalizaţi sunt actori de culoare. Acest lucru vin ca urmare a faptului că, anul trecut, BAFTA a dezvăluit o listă cu nominalizaţi formată doar din persoane albe, ceea ce a declanşat o reacţie negativă, devenită virală pe reţelele sociale prin hashtag-ul #BaftasSoWhite.
Gala BAFTA din acest an va avea loc la data de 11 aprilie, însă, deocamdată nu se știe în ce format. Zvonurile spun că și această ceremonie va avea loc în format hibrid, precum Critics Choice Awards.
